Background
AeroSleep NV is a young, innovative Belgian company with its head office in Ninove. The AeroSleep concept is based on the desire to improve the safety of the baby's sleeping environment. Specifically in connection with cot death, AeroSleep has always played a pioneering role by constantly investing to improve the sleep safety of little babies.
Moreover, over the past few years AeroSleep has continuously been innovative and conducted research into sleep, perspiration and cot death. By making considerable investment in scientific tests, we distinguish ourselves from other manufacturers in the baby sector.
AeroSleep NV has been around for nearly 10 years:
- 1987: Manager Jan Hoorens takes over the Hoorens NV textile company from his father and launches new textile products for babies.
- 1993: Development of an innovative sleep concept for babies: using unique technology, a 3D structure is produced which consists of 95% open space, guaranteeing safe and sound sleep comfort for all babies.
- 1997: Development of AeroSleep Adult. At our customers' request, we start production with the 3D structure for larger adult sizes.
- 2000: Establishment of AeroSleep NV
- 2002: AeroSleep technology is patented worldwide.
- 2008: Partial sale of AeroSleep to enable advanced professionalisation.
- 2010: AeroSleep is present in 20 countries. One out of three first-borns in the Benelux now sleeps on AeroSleep.
