Our precautionary measures to diminish certain possible risks of cot death have been thoroughly tested by independent research centres:

TÜV Rheinland (Germany) has tested air permeability.

Level of air permeability required for unhindered breathing: 700 litre/m² per second.
The air permeability of AeroSleep is 1 260 litre/m² per second.

RAM Consulting (VSA) has tested the risk of suffocation.

AeroSleep Baby Protect presents a very low suffocation hazard for children of all ages, whether wet or dry.

TNO Industrie en Techniek (Netherlands) has tested the risk of rebreathing (of CO2).

Compared with standard baby mattresses, the AeroSleep Baby Protect in combination with the AeroSleep Baby Fitted Sheet contribute to an enhanced drain of breathed out CO2 and at the same time to a supply of fresh air, through the mattress system. This effect reduces the accumulation of CO2 in the mattress system and consequently reduces the risk of rebreathing of CO2.

Centexbel (Belgium) tested how AeroSleep reduces the risk of overheating.

A mattress with AeroSleep Baby Protect evacuates the heat 34% faster than a common mattress.
