My AeroSleep has discolourations on the inside. What are they?
These discolourations are bits of fluff that get caught in the stitched seams. Fluff is not harmful to your baby, nor does it interfere in any way with the functioning of the mattress protector. Our products are also machine washable at 60°C, a temperature at which all bacteria and allergens are eliminated.
To prevent fluff from forming, it is advisable to wipe the inside of the drum with a damp cloth before you start the washing machine and to always wash the mattress protector with the 3D honeycomb structure on the outside. It is also preferable to wash the protector separately.
Tip 1: At your local supermarket you will find special maintenance products that descale and thoroughly clean your machine, even on the outside of the drum. New washing machines often include a ‘Clean Drum’ programme.
Tip 2: If fluff has already formed the above-mentioned washing technique also helps to remove it. An alternative is to vacuum the mattress protector.
