A perforated fitted sheet is essential because it allows the air to circulate freely and the breathable 3D structure to work properly. We tested this function extensively in both dry and humid conditions. A conventional cotton sheet significantly reduces breathability. And when cotton fabric gets wet, the fibres hold in the moisture and prevent any air at all from passing through.
Not only is the AeroSleep fitted sheet perforated, it is also made of polyester, a fabric that doesn't retain moisture. Instead, it allows moisture to pass straight through into the mattress protector's absorbent layer so that your child can always breathe safely and stay dry.
Machine-washable at 60° for optimum hygiene, the fitted sheet dries quickly and is super easy to put on the mattress. It's a must-have!

And when cotton gets wet, the fibres retain the moisture, so the fabric no longer allows air through at all. The AeroSleep fitted sheet is not only perforated but also made of polyester. So the fabric does not retain moisture, everything is immediately drained to the absorbent layer of the mattress protector, so your child can continue to breathe freely and stay dry. A must-have!
Want to try it out for it yourself? Lie face down on the mattress protector. With a perforated fitted sheet you can breathe freely, with a cotton fitted sheet it is more difficult. And with a wet cotton fitted sheet, it will be impossible.
Choose a fitted sheet of the same size as your mattress. For Essential and Evolution you can use an ordinary AeroSleep fitted sheet. For the Premium mattress, choose a Premium AeroSleep fitted sheet, which leaves room to incline the mattress.
